An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. Unlike a physical SIM card, you don't need to swap cards — you simply scan a QR code or enter a code to activate a new plan. You can store multiple eSIM profiles and switch between them without ever touching a physical card.

Browse plans by country or region on our website, select the data size and duration that suits you, add to cart, and complete checkout. Within minutes you'll receive an email with your eSIM QR code and installation instructions.

We recommend installing the eSIM before you travel while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. Installation requires internet access. However, the data plan itself only activates when you arrive in the destination country — you won't be charged data before you land.

Your QR code email typically arrives within 2–5 minutes of purchase. If you haven't received it after 10 minutes, check your spam folder or log in to your WoWo SIM dashboard to download it directly.

Yes! During checkout you can enter the recipient's email address so the QR code is delivered directly to them. Make sure they have a compatible eSIM device before purchasing.

Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. Point your camera at the QR code in your email. Follow the on-screen prompts to label the new line. Once installed, set it as your "Cellular Data" line and enable Data Roaming.

Go to Settings → Connections (or Network & Internet) → SIM Manager → Add eSIM. Select "Scan a QR code" and scan the code from your email. Follow prompts to complete setup. The steps may vary slightly by manufacturer (Samsung, Google, etc.).

You can install the eSIM manually using the SM-DP+ address and activation code provided in your email. On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Enter Details Manually. On Android: during QR scan, tap "Enter manually" or similar option.

Yes — you can install the eSIM profile on your device at any time. The data plan activates automatically when your device connects to a supported network in your destination country. There is no manual activation step required.

WoWo SIM eSIMs use local carrier networks in your destination. For your device to recognize and connect to these foreign networks, "Data Roaming" must be enabled in your cellular settings. This is safe — WoWo SIM plans have fixed pricing and you won't get surprise roaming charges.

WoWo SIM offers eSIM plans for 195+ countries and destinations worldwide, including local plans for individual countries and regional plans covering multiple countries (Europe, Asia Pacific, Americas, Middle East, and more).

We partner with leading local carriers in each country to deliver the best available network coverage. Most plans support 4G LTE, with 5G available in select destinations. Speeds vary by location and network load, but are generally excellent for browsing, streaming, and video calls.

Local single-country plans are designed for use in one specific country. If you travel to neighboring countries, you'd need a separate plan or a regional plan that covers all your destinations. Our regional plans are perfect if you're visiting multiple countries in one trip.

Regional plans cover a group of countries within a geographic area. For example, our Europe plan covers 30+ European countries, and our Asia Pacific plan covers 15+ countries across Asia. You buy one plan and it works seamlessly as you move between covered countries — no swapping plans needed.

5G is available in select destinations where our partner carriers have deployed 5G networks. The plan page for each destination shows the maximum network speed available. Even on 5G destinations, speed depends on your device's 5G capability and local coverage.

Most flagship smartphones from 2018 onward support eSIM. Key compatible devices include iPhone XR/XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and many others. Check our full compatibility list at /compatible-devices or contact us with your model number.

All iPhones from the iPhone XR (2018) onward support eSIM. This includes: iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, all iPhone 11/12/13/14/15/16 models, and iPhone SE 2nd & 3rd generation. iPhones purchased in mainland China may not support eSIM — check your settings to confirm.

Yes! Many devices support eSIM beyond smartphones. Compatible tablets include iPad Pro (Wi-Fi + Cellular), iPad Air (3rd gen+), and iPad mini (5th gen+). Laptops with eSIM support include Microsoft Surface Pro X, Surface Go, and select HP/Lenovo models.

eSIM profiles cannot be transferred between devices after installation. Each plan is linked to the device it was installed on. If you get a new phone, you'll need to purchase a new plan. Contact our support team if you have extenuating circumstances such as a device replacement under warranty.

Yes — this is one of the greatest advantages of eSIM. Your device uses Dual SIM functionality to keep your home SIM (for calls/texts) active while WoWo SIM handles your data abroad. Just set WoWo SIM as the "Cellular Data" SIM in your settings.

You can check remaining data in your WoWo SIM account dashboard after logging in. On iPhone, you can also go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Usage to see bytes used by the eSIM line. Note: your device counter resets monthly, so log in to your account for the most accurate remaining balance.

When your data is exhausted, service is either stopped or throttled to a very low speed (64–128 kbps), depending on the plan. You can purchase an additional plan at any time to continue using fast data. Simply buy the same plan again and install the new QR code.

Most WoWo SIM plans support mobile hotspot/tethering, allowing you to share your data connection with other devices like laptops or tablets. Hotspot support is indicated on each plan's detail page. Note: hotspot usage draws from your main data allowance.

No — WoWo SIM eSIMs are data-only plans. They do not include voice calls or SMS/text messaging. Your existing home SIM card (kept active via Dual SIM) handles calls and texts. For calls over data, apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, and Skype work great using your WoWo SIM data.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and PayPal. All transactions are processed securely with SSL encryption.

We offer a full refund if your eSIM has not been installed or activated, and the refund request is made within 15 days of purchase. Once an eSIM has been installed on a device or data has been consumed, we cannot issue a refund. To request a refund, contact support@wowosim.com with your order number.

First, double-check your card details and billing address. Some banks block international transactions — contact your bank to allow the payment. Try a different card or payment method (PayPal or Apple Pay often work if cards are declined). If you continue having issues, contact our support team.

No — WoWo SIM plans are one-time purchases with no automatic renewal or subscription. When your plan expires or data runs out, nothing is charged automatically. You choose to buy a new plan whenever you need one.
