How can I set a data limit on my Android device?

Setting a mobile data limit on your Android device can help you manage your data usage effectively. You can define the billing cycle, set a data limit, and even receive a warning before reaching the limit. Here’s how to set a mobile data limit on your device:

For Samsung Galaxy devices:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap Connections.
  2. Tap Data Usage.
  3. Ensure Mobile Data is on, then tap Billing cycle and data warning.
  4. Tap Start billing cycle and set the date based on your arrival in the destination country.
  5. Enable Set data warning and enter the data warning limit. For instance, if your eSIM package includes 10 GB, you might set the data warning at 8 GB.
  6. Enable the Set data limit and enter the data limit. This feature will turn off mobile data once you reach the specified limit.

For Google Pixel devices:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap Network & Internet.
  2. Tap SIMs.
  3. Ensure Mobile Data is on, then tap Data warning & limit.
  4. Tap the Mobile data usage cycle and set the date based on your arrival in the destination country.
  5. Enable Set data warning and enter the data warning limit. For example, if your eSIM package has 10 GB, you might set the data warning at 8 GB.
  6. Enable the Set data limit and enter the data limit. This will turn off mobile data when the specified limit is reached.
