What should I do if I’m encountering the “This code is no longer valid” error?

This error typically occurs when trying to add an eSIM that has already been added or if the QR code was only partially scanned due to a poor connection.

To check if the eSIM is already installed, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select General.
  3. Tap About and scroll down.
  4. If the eSIM is installed and active, you will see the ICCID [NUMBER] along with an extra digit as long as the eSIM line is “On” under your Cellular Plans.

Please note that once an eSIM has been removed, it cannot be reinstalled.

If you are installing the eSIM for the first time and encounter this error, it might be due to a poor connection, an enabled VPN, or having too many eSIMs on the device.

To successfully install your eSIM, please:

  1. Disable any VPN.
  2. Ensure a stable and strong internet connection.
  3. Remove any unused eSIMs.
  4. Make sure your software is updated to the latest version.
  5. Try a different installation method than before.
